California Wow Gym At Esplanade

Featured Replies

The missus wants to join up at this gym or similar near our condo in Bangkok (Esplanade is around a 5 min ride away) and I want to get some information about it if anyone knows anything or indeed, knows of another gym. I have heard all kinds of shoddy practices from California over the years but she only wants a monthly membership, probably only for a couple of months. As far as I can see, this is the only option in that area.

California Wow won't let you sign in only for couple of months, unless they have recently changed their policy.

I used to live in Ratchada and I can tell your best option is to join the fitness club of one of the many hotels in the main road...I used to go to The Grand Ayutthaya Hotel, 2000 baht per month.

Near Esplanade, you the the Fortune, Emerald, Swissotel and a few smaller ones.

Great advantage of using the fitness club of the hotels is that you have also a swimming pool, while California Wow doesn't.

Thanks, hadn't thought about that, the hotel facilities etc.

I hear what you say about CW. However, they did have short term, perhaps month by month deals at other locations some years ago. My guess is that if you can brush past their rip off "get the mug punter to pay as much as we can scam them for" sales people, then they might have some options. It is either do a deal or get no money situation for them.

Thanks.
