Hello all!

I was wondering if there are any suzuki dealers in thailand where i can buy the brand new gsxr 1000 2010 or 09. i dont want to buy 2ed hand. I keep going to the dealer at major/rachada and he tells me every year that they will get it and every time i go back he says they will get it next year. grrrrr :bah:

if some one knows, could you please let me know how much it cost and where could i get it.

ps, i live in bangkok and im selling a 2010 ninja 250 with mods for 120k bhat.

BTW, have you ridden a liter bike before?

Going from a 250 to a 1000 is a bit of a leap IMO. I've been riding for a long time yet I'll admit that my Gixxer K6 is more bike than I really know how to handle :)

A while ago there were some rumors about official Suzuki imports to Thailand. I remember because I even asked the local Suzi dealer (cars) about it. But nothing ever came of it, as far as I know. The Suzuki car dealership is a different company from the motorcycle one, as was explained to me.

Edit: It would make sense as Suzuki could import their big bikes from Japan under the FTA, just like Yamaha is doing. Still paying a lot of import taxes, but less than it used to be.

Yep, Suzuki Thailand even had a booth at the Bangkok Motor Show with bikes and price lists last April but as it turns out it was all BS and there was an article a while back that said something about Suzuki Japan firing the Thai distributor or something to that extent... TiT

Because this is Thailand and they tell you what they think you want to hear... it may not actually be true. but it keeps you happy.

The other theory i have is that APe Honda and Suzuki actually reprimand their staff IF they actually give the correct infowhistling.gif.

Or the Marketing sales support number for Honda and Suzuki are top secret and no one knows them. And in fact they are in a bunker up in the deserts of issan......biggrin.gif

Actually the 3rd one makes the most sense. because surely they DO have their heads stuck in the sand.

Hi every body !

Suzuki big bikes are available in Bangkok. They have one of the biggest showroom in town, it is called Suzuki world , easy to find, because it is an entire building

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://www.thaisuzuki.co.th/suzukiworld/

their website is not working so well , and i don't know if they are importing the gsxr 1000, for sure they imported the new hayabusa 1300, at 830 000 baht.

Best regards

Dear Sylvain,

Are you quite certain about that? I thought Red Baron is still the main importer of Busas...

The link you attached above is cached and not active.

This is Suzuki Thailand's current "Big Bike" page: http://www.thaisuzuk...hai/bigbike.php

Lot of pics, no prices...

AFAIK Suzuki Thailand is not selling any big bikes in Thailand at this time. Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

Cheers!

Tony

Oh wait--- perhaps I am mistaken!

Seems that perhaps the Busa IS available. Don't see any other Suzie Big Bikes though...

Mea culpa! :jap:

Hi Bigbike,

Yes i am sure about that ! i met the Suzuki Branch manager in March 2010 at Suzuki world, and he told me that at the moment they were legally importing the new Hayabusa, and that they were working on importing other big bikes ( 10 models as i recall , including the gsxr 1000), after that i did not get any news from Suzuki.

May be they are facing the same problem than most of real companies have in Thailand : the competition with the grey market.

But the showroom is real try this link :http://www.thaisuzuki.co.th/suzukiworld/

It was working 5 minutes ago.

Since March, the previous thai distributor of Suzuki has gone out of suzuki-business, and the japs have taken over in LOS. They thais still had 2 years old 125cc bikes in stock. First start was manufactoring the Hayate 125cc again, now with injection, an excellent bike at less price than yammy elegance.
