Now that i have cleared the visa (IR-1 American immigrant) hurtle a question came up this morning. My son has a US passport (issued in Bangkok at the embassy) and a Thai birth certificate with a US report of birth overseas. How do we clear immigration with him at BKK? Is there a special form or special permission required from the Thai authorities?

I would greatly appreciate if anyone has knowledge of this to respond to the post. Thank you.....

Simply turn up with his US passport and the Thai birth certificate, that is all. The birth certificate will show why there is no entry stamp.

Is your son entitled to a Thai passport? If so you should get his before leaving Thailand.
