THE BMA HAS ASKED PEOPLE TO TURN ON VEHICLE HEADLIGHTS ON THE 12th OF AUGUST

A peace-promoting walk-jog activity will take place on the 12th of August in commemoration of Her Majesty the Queen.

Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Permanent Secretary Natthanon Thaweesin (ณฐนนท ทวีสิน) has revealed that more than 10,000 Bangkok residents will be led by Bangkok Governor Aphirak Kosayothin (อภิรักษ์ โกษะโยธิน) in a joint declaration of their moral support for the people in the southern border provinces.

The walk-jog caravan will start from the Bangkok City Hall at 12.45 pm, and reach Sanam Luang (สนามหลวง) at 1.15 pm. Princess Ubolrat Ratchakanya (อุบลรัตนราชกัญญา) will chair the following ceremony, which will launch the walk-job caravan to circle Sanam Luang and enter Ratchadamnoennai (ราชดำเนินใน) Road. The caravan will travel around the vicinity and finally return to Sanam Luang.

Khunying Natthanon Thaweesin (คุณหญิงณฐนนท ทวีสิน) also said that the event organizers are inviting people to display their concerted will for peace building in the south by turning on vehicle headlights starting at 6 in the morning, on August 12th.
