I'm a Brit here on a tourist visa, planning to move to Thailand for a couple of years. I'm over 50 and the 800,000Bt is not a problem. My questions are

1) when applying for the visa in London, is it enough to show I have transferred the money to my account here, or do I have to show it actually arrived? I presume the latter, but how do I get proof the money is here without flying out to Bkk, getting the piece of paper from my bank and flying back to get my visa???

2) is the one year for multiple-entry. ie, can I come and go as I please? or do I have to stay here for a year and register every 90 days? or do I have to leave the country every 90 days?

the information is probably somewhere on this site but I missed it... thanks for any help you can give me...

Apply for a multiple entry at Hull....very user friendly ( unlike London ). Once you get a one year extension and a multiple entry re-entry permit, you must report every 90 days. You only need the money in a bank in Thailand when you apply for the one year extension.
