Andaman Club Visit - Possible To Stay On The Boat?

I occasionally go to the Andaman club for a couple of nights but the price is no longer as affordable as it was. They also do not reply to any e-mails, so I'm rather fed up with them. I have heard in past that someone stayed on the boat and just came back to Thailand on the same trip. If this is true, how would one pay the boat fee? I ask because when I've been across to the island, the boat and immigration fee is paid inside the office there at the end of the journey. No fees have ever been paid on the Thai side.

I should also say, I am not talking about a trip to Kaw Thung/Victoria Point, I mean the Andaman Club Pier, which is not near the Multi-Purpose Port. I do not like the idea of going through the multi-purpose port. It sounds awful.

Me and ex GF visited the andaman club resort a few years ago. The club itself, (if you are talking about the one with the hotel/casino located off shore from Ranong?) is affiliated with a company that does a day tour specifically assisting foriegners who are making a border run to facillitate a new entry to thailand, which i guess is the purpose of your trip?

The company has posters all around the Ranong in restaurants and hotels. I think every hotel will have a flyer or at least someone who knows about the service. From memory it was 8 or 900 baht for the day trip for me and 3 or 400 for the GF.

A guide will pick you up at a destination or hotel on the thai side and take you to the peir,which would be very hard to find on your own if a new tourist. You then get stamped out of thailand and taken over inside the high speed boat.A lot better than getting soaking wet winging it with the small local boats

On the other side you are then taken to the hotel and left there for 3 or 4 hours while your passport is processed. The company then picks you up after lunch at the casino and takes you back for the boat trip back. When on the thai side, the same guide who picked us up in the morning met us at the pier and assisted with the stamping back into Thailand, which took 10 mins max. Then he will drive you back to wherever you want to go in Ranong.

I found it a pretty relaxed trip myself and since the immigration,boat fees and transfers were all covered in the initial cost, i didnt consider it all that expensive.

If you gamble at the casino it could be another story. On my occasion i threw 200 baht into a australian themed slot machine and got 900 back so i was pretty happy with the trip

You can't stay on the boat but you can get the same boat back to Thailand. You collect the boat papers from Thai immigration as before and pay at the office when you get off the boat at the other end. You just wait a few minutes to get your passport back (don't leave the building or you'll end up on the bus up the hill to the casino), then walk back the way you came through immigration. The same boat will be waiting for the return journey and there's always 20 to 30 minutes gap, so staff and tourists from the casino can board. You've got plenty time but I used to make sure I got off the boat first and got all my paperwork out the way anyway. I haven't done the visa run in over a year but I imagine all is the same. Maybe call the Andaman Club to make sure.

Yes same as ! off the boat stamped into myanmar walk through the scanner tell the lady you want to go straight back, stamped out and back on the same boat job done !

Has anyone stayed at the resort and played the golf course? Supposed to be a pretty good Jack Nicklaus course. What are the green fees for resort guests?
