The protein banana milkshake after a workout is delicious. IMO this is the best Gym in southern Phuket, and I have tried them all. All new equipment that is paid for so I'm told, (no collections teams showing up mid workout to seize your treadmill, as has happened recently at another local gym) clean men's and women's showers and locker rooms, plenty of cardio machines and 2 40" flat screens.

kind of expensive compared to bangkok retailers of optimum nutrition :\

I am more than happy to match the price of any other retailer in Thailand if you can provide a copy of your paid invoice from said retailer:) This of course would include shipping charges as we do not charge for that:)

In addition we offer:

1. Native English support everyday 7am-9pm via phone, instant message, and email.

2. Secure Payments via Paypal express checkout.

3. If for whatever reason there is a problem with your order, we actually will refund your money in FULL including any transaction charges incurred.

4. You know who we are and where our location is if you prefer to do business face to face.

5. We can offer honest advice based on experience with our products.

6. We provide you proof of purchase.

7. FREE EMS Shipping with tracking if outside Phuket, inside Phuket we will deliver directly to you within 2 business days of ordering.

7. Most importantly, we take our business seriously. This is not some part time hobby. Our goal is to provide excellent service and ensure our customers have a positive buying experience. Every time.

Hi Nai Harn Gym,

First of all, well done on your website and dedication to service. No one else seems to offer all the big US brands here in Thailand. It looks like a lot of thought has gone into this.

Couple of things -

Can you offer assurances your products are not counterfeit? There are loads of copies of supplements in bangkok especially and if you are buying from Thailand's official distributors why are none of these products sold in the shops here?

Also, supps need to be approved by the Thai FDA. Are all your items approved? That's the best way to be sure they are the real deal.

If they are all approved and safe then I and plenty of others will be in for sure.

I am especially keen on Optimum's Pro Complex but can't see it on your website. Can customers visit your office/warehouse in Bangkok to view the whole range?

Thanks.

Hello PJ11,

EDIT: I just realized that every single one of your posts on ThaiVisa is promoting a competitor, and without paying as an advertiser. Shame on you:)

You are obviously a Thaisupplements.com troll but ill bite:

You may contact the manufacturers directly to find their authorized agents in Thailand. You then can contact them to answer your questions. In most cases this information is right on their website. Example: http://www.optimumnu...m/retailers.php and http://www.dymatize....ibutors_listing

Hi Bill

Looks good - I'm based in Bangkok and would like to visit the warehouse here as I'm not often in Phuket. How can I do this?

Re the discussion above, and without taking sides you obviously know that most people who train properly are usually stringent about what they put in their own bodies whether it's legal or not, and I'd have thought FDA approval would be one thing you'd want to ensure ALL your products complied with? Perhaps in the guarantees on your website at least?

I tried typing "Thailand FDA approval" into the search box on the top right hand side of your site... The result is show in the attachment. I'm assuming you'd be wanting to change that?

In fairness both thaisupplements.com and GNC.co.th sites also provide full office address and landline numbers. So perhaps a few more contact points like a registered office and a landline wouldn't go amiss on your site either? What do you think?

These seem to be the basic operating requirements for legit online offerings. Frankly a moby number, live chat and email don't really do it for me when it comes to trust, slick tho the site looks. The links you sent previously to PJ11 were not especially helpful so I'd suggest a straight yay or nay from you on FDA approval on the FULL range of stock you purport to offer via your site would certainly put minds at rest, including, it would seem, one of your competitors. Seems a fair enough suggestion and would put you firmly in the right. From where I'm sitting right now, to pass off a legit question like that onto your suppliers frankly looks a little cagey does it not? My experience with the FDA is such that anyone who's been through the process is relieved to have succeeded and would willingly say they had! It's a draconian process in Thailand but well worth the effort if you have a good biz model.

Hopefully you won't see a need to troll-roll me as you have with PJ11 but some direct answers are always good for credibility

All the best :jap:

Bottom line - product for human consumption sold in Thailand without FDA approval is usually either smuggled, counterfeit or otherwise substandard.

>>Seems a fair enough suggestion and would put you firmly in the right. From where I'm sitting right now, to pass off a legit question like that onto your suppliers frankly looks a little cagey does it not?

Is it, or is it not, the importer/supplier that needs to get FDA clearance, pay all necessary taxes and jump through the hoops? Is a retailer supposed to triple check who he buys from to verify that all proper stamps/procedures and taxes have been paid? I don't know the law, but seems a stretch to ask a retailer to go through the hoops that a wholesaler/distributor does.

As a hypothetical question, if you're selling shoes, and your competitor is also selling shoes, are you going to ask him if the factory he buys his shoes from met all customs regulations and conformed to all laws both here and in the country of manufacturing? Is he really going to tell you? Doubt it so why the public bickering, take it up in private!

ADDED, wow what am amazing coincidence. Nick100 and PJ11 both have nearly the same amount of posts and joined up within 2 weeks of each other. This can't possibly be the same poster or a tag team could it :)?

My, my. The Phuket forum of Thai Visa seems to have degenerated into a war of words between rival advertisers for health products. No doubt whomever pays the larger advertising subscription will win, but what a sad state of affairs, and certainly does nothing towards promoting the credibility of this forum.

<deleted> I just asked whether I could visit their BKK warehouse as I don't live in Phuket!

@steeplepulse - <deleted>? I don't eat shoes. I do eat supplements. Poor comparison.

Sidestepping the question away to suggest his distributors share the whole burden is not the point. Put it this way, if the products on offer at www.Phukethealthshop.com are NOT Thai FDA approved then their distributor's licence could easily get revoked and Bill may also be fined and his site and gym shut down for allowing the sale of unapproved products. Thai FDA approval is obviously a can of worms for Hai Narn Gym, otherwise they'd have been happy to confirm simply that all their products comply...

I thought the pointers I gave him for the site would be seen as helpful. Nice of you to jump in though... Your request that I take this private is strange given that all the questions in the thread thus far have been directed at the business that sponsored it in the first place. Open forum is perfectly adequate plus I'd assume other supplement users (and, yes, competitors; it's a dog eat dog world out there) would be interested to see Bill's responses.

Trying to link me to PJ11 on the basis of joining date is cool. Ad hominem but cool. Clearly we are in cahoots and hatched a plan back in 2008 to join Thaivisa so we could mutually attack a hitherto unknown website 2 years in the future. By the same token you and the OP are both based in Phuket.... wow...there you go... MUST be a link eh??

@pagallim - Agreed. I probably shouldn't have put my 2 cents worth in on the FDA thing but as a potential customer I'm surely entitled to ask. Personally I feel the question is still valid irrespective of whether it comes from a competitor or not...

Tin foil hat conspiracies aside, I'll await the 'excellent communications' promised by the OP, to whom I posed the original questions... Guess my buddy PJ11 will be too.

Great customer service so far.

As we are not the ones importing these products, I am unable to answer all of your questions, but i can tell you we are purchasing from the manufacturers authorized agents in Thailand. As I said before:

I will tell the company which runs the website to add the information above, to put your mind at ease.

Nah, 99.9 percent of poster profiles like yourself sign up for multiple accounts to be used at a later date. Maybe you're the 1 in 1000?

>>@steeplepulse - <deleted>? I don't eat shoes. I do eat supplements. Poor comparison.

I talked about selling a product, not eating a product..........perfect comparison but maybe read and comprehend a bit better in the future.

Actually it looks more like a rival business attacking the credibility of a sponsor with potentially defamatory comments that are perhaps best not continued.
