Where/which office do we go to for my Thai GF to write the letter giving consent to her/our daughters travel outside Thailand without her (mother).

We already have valid Thai and UK Passports for my daughter but no consent letter to show at the airport yet.

I assume that we need one of these.

Thank you in advance.

Have been considering applying for an Indefinite Leave to Remain visa for her (GF) but perhaps our case is not strong enough as she still does not speak English, yet we have been together all the time (save visa runs/my UK family visits) for seven years.

Please understand that the circumstance is not that we are in disagreement/divorced etc, just that we would like said daughter to spend time with great grandmother before it is too late.

I doubt there is a formal letter of consent. What I would do is have the mother write a letter in English giving the person taking the child with him/her permission to do so. I would name the person allowed to do so in the letter and perhaps also give his/her passport number. Of course you also clearly identify the daughter in the letter and maybe the purpose of the trip.

In addition have the mother state her phone number in the letter so she can be reached for further information and attach a signed copy of her ID-card and the child birthcertificate showing her as the mother.

That should do the trick i would say. High chance nothing is asked.
