Police Arrest Man In Connection With Triple Shooting

MADISON, Wisconsin -- Police have arrested a 21-year-old man from Thailand in connection with a drive-by triple shooting in suburban Madison.

The Dane County SWAT team raided the man's home in Madison on Thursday and arrested him. He could face charges as early as Monday.

Investigators in the city of Oregon have been working on the case all week. It began Tuesday when three cars stopped in front of a house and the occupants opened fire on three men in the home's garage. Two 20-year-old men and a 21-year-old man suffered nonfatal wounds.

Police are still searching for others involved in the shooting.

Sophorn Tep, who turned 21 on last Wednesday, was booked into the Dane County Jail. He was arrested on tentative charges of three counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide.

A man arrested on tentative charges of three counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide celebrated his birthday the day after police say he and his companions staged a drive-by shooting at a home in Oregon, Wisconsin. celebrated??

Tep was arrested Thursday night when SWAT teams from the Dane County Sheriff's Office and the Madison Police Department conducted a raid on his home at 5001 Esker Drive on the east side, near Thompson Drive.

Dane County Sheriff's detectives continued to look for Tep's companions in the shooting, which occurred Tuesday, but had announced no further arrests by late Friday.
