K1 Visa Not Married, How Long To Apply For New One?

Featured Replies

My fiancee and I applied and were granted a K1 visa. She came to the USA for a couple weeks but there were some trust issues and we decided not to get married. We spoke with US Immigration and they said the best thing would be to have her return to Thailand and that we could apply again later and it would be expedited because we took the proper steps and she returned to Thailand. In other words, we complied totally with the law.

Now the situation is that we have both decided not to re-apply and get married. So essentially that K1 was a wasted opportunity.

If I meet someone else, possibly from a different country, can I apply for a new K1 visa with a new woman? Is there a waiting period or limit on how many times you can apply for a K1 within a certain period of time?

Thanks.

There is no limit that I know of. I recall that the form had three lines for listing former K1 applications, so maybe that's the limit.

I brought a girl over, then she went back before the three month deadline for getting married. I don't recall the the gap before I applied and brought the next one over (married this one) but it was probably a couple of years.
