Man dies in drug bust

BANGKOK: -- Two Africans and a Thai were busted yesterday after trying to arrange a heroin sale at a Phya Thai luxury apartment, while a third African fell to his death trying to elude police.

Based on a tip-off, Phya Thai police caught Viroj Tantivisuthikul, 48, handing heroin to Bello Dalo Memudo, 33, from Cameroon, in the building’s seventh-floor sports club.

Memudo ran off but accidentally fell to the ground floor from the sports club’s balcony while trying to escape from police officers, said Colonel Karun Klinprayoon, superintendent of Phya Thai police station.

Memudo died instantly, Karun said.

After being arrested, Viroj confessed to police and led them to Nukulo Eugene, 33, from Nigeria, and Akorli Campell, 22, from Ghana, who were waiting with Bt1 million in another room in the building.

Viroj told police that the three men had travelled to Thailand to buy the heroin. Eugene and Campell said they were innocent.

seem like alot of people fall to thier deaths in thailand , and the police are always there . hmmmmmm , coincedence maybe !
