KOHAT, PAKISTAN (BNO NEWS) -- A teenage suicide bomber killed at least sixteen people at a market in northwest Pakistan on Wednesday, police said.

The attack happened inside a busy bus terminal at a market in Kohat, a town in the country's North West Frontier Province, when a boy detonated explosives he was wearing. The blast happened near the door of a passenger bus, which was waiting inside the terminal.

Kohat police chief Dilawar Bangash said at least 16 people were killed while around 20 others were injured. He said it was possible that the death toll would rise further as several victims were in a critical condition.

Police said rescue workers have recovered the head and legs of the suicide bomber, who was aged between 15 and 17 years. His identity was not immediately known.
