Today's amazing deal in Bangkok is ฿950 for a 30 hour Thai Language course at AUA worth ฿3,840

The AUA Thai Language program is a real paradox: It's the longest-running Thai language program in Thailand (since 1984!) yet it uses the most revolutionary and imaginative methods known to exist in language learning. For details, please see http://www.tiktoktha...anguage-program

ALG stands for "Automatic Language Growth" which perfectly describes how the AUA Thai Language program works. There are no tests, no homework and no monotonous repetition of words and sentences. At AUA Thai Language Center, the teachers do all of the hard work while you sit back and learn -- naturally!

Hours are bought in packs of credits (this deal includes 30 hours with a whopping 75% discount!) and you can study whenever you want by simply popping in for a few hours per week or spending 10 hours a day there, which wouldn't be difficult as the teachers double up as pantomimic comedians in the beginning, yet the more language you learn the more levels you'll be entertained at, and you just won't want to leave. Taking these classes is akin to opening a can of Pringles -- you're not going to want to stop!

There are 2,000 distinctly different classes with a wide range of subjects including Culture, History, Politics, Buddhism, Upcountry Life and even Ghost Stories so you don't need to worry about turning up and getting a repeat of what you learned last week. As well as learning Thai language, you'll also be gaining an insight into The Thai psyche, in a way that can't even be explained in English.

Once you're finding the classes at your level a little too easy, you simply move up to the next level and continue learning.

To get a feel of how a typical class runs, check out the video of a Level 1 class in action! You won't find a better deal for learning Thai language than this, and you won't find a more innovative and imaginative way to learn the language than at AUA. Like all deals on TikTokThai, there's a limited time to buy the voucher so hurry while it's still available!

(of course, the vouchers themselves are valid for 4 months, so there's no rush to use them... you can even buy extra vouchers as gifts for friends if you like!)

This is a great question - and the short answer is about 1 year.

However....

we probably all know people who've lived here for several years and they still don't speak 'passable' Thai. (How much is passable anyway?) Some of them aren't 60 years old either. (So is age even a factor?) At AUA, we believe that it all comes down to understandable experience where Thai language is used. That's surprisingly a difficult thing to get large amounts of. But from our perspective, this is the key. If you are able to be exposed to Thai situations where you understand (not language necessarily) but what's going on, you will improve and your Thai language will grow - understanding, then speaking.

My experience at AUA Rajadamri --- Disturbing!

I tried a free class. The classroom hadn't been painted in years. The seats were ripped padded vinyl and disgusting. The air conditioning barely worked. I listened to a conversation about ladyboys in Pattaya that went on and on.

Very dissapointing experience.

This was about 4 years ago. Maybe things have changed!
