Where Can I Find...

Featured Replies

I just found a spot behind my house that has a really nice solid breeze + tree :o Nice private spot.. Mostly shadded in afternoon..

Have had hammocks in lots of places (slept in one every night for 6 - 8 months once when living with a buddy with limited space) and want to hook up a top quality one here.. None of the bunk string tiny things from the beach..

At a bare min I want a big string one with wooden supports / spreaders at both ends.. Better would be a 'mexican' hammock or blanket hammock as I have heard them called.. Even better would be one of the mega large ones you lie sideways in and can hold a couple of people..

Cost aint the issue its getting a good one.. anyone seen really good ones on Phuket ???

You can tell the pace of island life is getting too much for me :D

Already found a couple of online mail order places just curious if anyone has seen anything available locally thats not the tat they sell on Patong beach..

Have you seen the ones made out of a single piece of bamboo.

Very comfortable.

No.. even suspect a windup...

Single piece of bamboo doesnt sound like th emost comfortable thing in the world ?!?!

I bought a really comfy soft woven hammock at the central market in Phnom Penh - if you were to pop up there or know someone who is going. :o

Nice... can you order two please? :o

I think I am already ordering two :o !!!

If you wanted to add to the order from http://hammocks.com.mx/nuevo-ing.htm then let me know.. Odd thing is there seems to be a consortium of a few websites all selling the same products.. this one offers me 19.99 courier shipping but the other wanted 80 USD ?!?! go figure..

I guess another biz day to hear if the 20 usd shipping holds..

An American style and a familiar should do me :D

Doesn't look like the ones the OP was looking for. I think he's looking more for the ones with a "spreader" on it. They do sell some rope ones on the way to Chiang Mai but look rough to me. I bought a real basic one at Nakhon Patom for 20 baht about a month ago and it holds me but then I"m not as big as a VWbug either.

I am the OP :o Look for the 'Amercian' one listed.. Also may go for a big side sitting one also now that the shipping is a cost.. Hey its my way of 'saving' money..

Sorry I have tried but cannot find the one piece bamboo hammocks that I like.

But I did find this  http://www.chiangmaicraft.com/detail.asp?procode=MS-01-0043

Looks like a good hammock to me

There is another company up North here that makes them as well, but I can't remember their name.Have you tried the OTOP site?

Always good to "think globally, act locally" but... those Mexican hammocks do look a lot more "fun". :o

I am trying to... Only 80 USD shipping on a 50 USD item is a bit of an issue...

Why don’t you make your own LivinLOS, or design one and have a local

mob make it for you?

That way you would get exactly what you want.

Just a thought,
