December 11, 201015 yr Beautiful kids, a very good photo of them, and B&W was a good choice! Have a good time mr Hoss!
December 13, 201015 yr You've got that one spot on in terms of composition and perspective. The only minor point I'd make is that there is a slight lack of contrast. Some darker blacks would have helped the image, in my opinion.
December 13, 201015 yr Author Thanks for the comments guys, and I agree that tonally it could be a little more interesting. I think there is just too much mid tone. There are some real blacks and clean whites, but it is mostly mid tone.
December 13, 201015 yr Hi canuckamuck, Super photo of kids with smiling face. Any chance of a colour photo as I am not really into B&W photos. Win Edited December 13, 201015 yr by Kan Win

December 19, 201015 yr I'm with Kan Win on this one, great photo in every aspect, except it's better in natural colours! B/W is better for documentary style showing negative stuff like war or poverty, or close up shots of old peoples faces or to shoot artistic nudes accentuating the skin. Good work! Plahgat
December 25, 201015 yr Hi canuckamuck, Super photo of kids with smiling face. Any chance of a colour photo as I am not really into B&W photos. Win Hows this IMHO the colour version is much better. Am intrigued as to why you converted such a good and cheery pic to B&W.
December 25, 201015 yr I actually prefer the B & W photo. I don't think it appears to be sad or dreary at all. In the B & W shot, my eyes are drawn to the kids' darling faces. In the color shot, I keep looking at the crazy colored ball and the girl's dress. All the bright colors seem to drown out the faces.
December 25, 201015 yr Author I guess I was in the mood for black and white, I am glad people like it both ways.

May 1, 201115 yr I agree totally with tonititan. B&W works best for me here. Eyes immediately lock on to the 2 happy faces, and not jump around the composition as in the color version. Great pic, where was it shot?
May 1, 201115 yr Brilliant... love everything about it... framing, bw, but most of all the expressions of the children and one looking at the camera and one away it does not look concocted...

Am intrigued as to why you converted such a good and cheery pic to B&W. bw makes it look timeless and the muticolored soccer ball is distracting... why not try a bit more blur or sepia or scratching to give it a more timeless look

August 3, 201114 yr It is really the choice of the photographer not the critics which is the right way, color or BW. It should suit the taste of the creator not those who see it. I was sorry that you gave in and posted the color shot just to satisfy a few who don't like BW which is a good choice for this picture as it does keep your eye on their faces. It is a very nice photo.
