Hello,

I come frequently to LOS like 3 times a year for more or less 2 weeks... But this is about to change I would like to come every other month and stay for a 3 to 4 weeks. could I do this with a simple EU pasport? So basicaly I would be working in EU for a month after that come to LOS for a month to visit my girfriend....

One entry on a Eu pasport is allowed for 30 days, botomline I would stay 180days a year in LOS?

Does anyone know how many entry's I could do a year?

Would it be a problem when going through imigration at one point?

Best Regards

Kurt

I see no problem whatsoever.

The 30 days-stamp is given as visa exempted entry for tourists.

You are a tourist and especially there are a couple of weeks between departure and next entry and you arrive by air.

Welcome!

You can leave and re enter 12 times per year........ but........ rumour has it that Thai immigration are beginning to question people who re enter on a regular basis as to how they manage to fund their lifestyles here.

Each time, your details are entered onto a computer and in time you know that they will start weeding out undesirables and other less fortunate people on the premise that they think you are working here illegally........

I have been here 6 years and am respectful to all officials, dress smartly and never complain about delays or poor service. Manners cost nothing but it carries a lot of weight when dealing with the boys and girls in white and touch wood, so far, I have never ever had any problems with re entry

What OP is proposing is very much in the accepted category AFAIK as this same method is used by many of the offshore workers and he should not have a problem. It is the person with no outside Thailand time that may have to answer questions; not the person leaving Thailand for weeks at a time.

Of course if he arrives in the condition his name suggests all bets are off. :o
