Phuket Trip

Featured Replies

I've got a request from a friend of mine to set up a Phuket trip for 4 days/3 nights during Sept. 24-28. He and his wife want to fly into BKK and then fly out to Phuket. Unfortunately, I'm out of the country and back in the U.S. for a few miserable months. So I can't do any of the leg work for him. Also, I'm not at all familiar with Phuket since I live in BKK and most of my travels are up country.

I'd like suggestions for places to stay. Low to mid budget. Preferably package deals with the flight included. I know his planned dates fall in the rainy season. What's the weather like in Phuket during the end of September? Is it worth going? Not that they're sun worshippers since they're both native Laotians.

Rain, shine, myself I'd still have a good time. But for others excessive rain might be too much of a dampener (excuse the pun).

Thanks! :o

Hi stayed recently in Patong in a very nice hotel which was not expensive very close to bangra road and Beach.

Patong Pearl tel; 6676 340121, 340338

flew with phuket air got return to Bkk for £50.

Dont know if this helps any.

Try K. N. Guest House. It is on Soi Jintana in Patong, right off Rat-U-Tid Road, The Soi is right opposite one of the entrances to Paradise Complex. The building is new and the rooms are new and modern, and it is inexpensive.

I was in Phuket in May. It was deserted. Deals everywhere on hotels. Deals you don't find until you get there. You have to be willing to arrive with no reservation, but I found an ocean front room for 1,200 baht a night. Normally about 4,000. Yes, some construction was going on...but what a great place. Sorry, can't remember the name, but I was there for 2 weeks and there were deals everywhere...along with girls on scooters chasing you down trying to get you to the place they were representing...now that was cool!
