McDonald's sued over Happy Meal advertising to children

There was a crappy plastic toy in just about every cereal box 60 years ago.

And as kids, we would wolf the junk down just to get to the toy.

7/11 is selling Doreomon electronic purse cards to kids which are topped up by the parents. I saw a lady put 1000 baht on one yesterday for an eight year old girl.

I am sure that the kids only buy wholesome meals with the cards, right?

My wife had the crazy notion that our six year old daughter could be responsible with a DDC (Doraemon Debit Card ). She was given a card with 300B credit. It was maxed out within half an hour with little miss subsequently "demanding" a top up.

I have absolutely no idea was purchased.

Sounds like me at 18 when I got my first Visa card. Obviously I had a life lesson coming up later on .

I notice a couple of months back when McDonalds in Central Beach opened how petite and pretty most of the staff were (obviously in a very non predatory sort of way).

Having passed there earlier today it appears there has been some significant change and I can't help but see this as a warning sign.
