BRITISH mum Shivaun Fadilah is facing execution in Malaysia after a £16,000 drugs bust.

Cops seized the 41-year-old, her husband Abdul, 46, their 18-year-old adopted daughter and 225g of heroin.

Any discovery of 15g or more of the substance carries the automatic death penalty by hanging in the South-east Asian country.

Officers also found cannabis, amphetamines and ecstasy tablets at the Ranting Resort beach complex which the couple run

Police said Mrs Fadilah of Bangor, North Wales, and her husband were arrested after a tip-off. They are held in cells.

Chief Roslan Abdul Wahid said: "It has been our biggest bust in three years. The value of the drugs haul was put at $25,000 (£16,000).

"Initial investigations show the couple have been hard-core addicts for almost 15 years and we believe they started distributing drugs in the past ten years."

He said Mrs Fadilah had admitted cannabis plants found in her room were for her use. It is believed her husband told police the heroin was his. Five cars were also seized.

It is alleged Mr Fadilah got his wife hooked when she threatened to return to Britain.

Mr Wahid added: "If the heroin, after analysis, tests positive, then anything over 15g carries the death penalty."

Mrs Fadilah met her husband in Malaysia after leaving the UK in 1991 to travel. They have two sons, now 14 and 16, and are based at Cherating, 170 miles from Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur.
