UK-Politics Starmer Under Fire: Mandelson’s Epstein Links Cause Uproar
Picture courtesy of BBC | EPA Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is facing controversy following his sacking of Peter Mandelson as the UK's ambassador to the US, due to his past ties with Jeffrey Epstein. Mandelson was dismissed after emails revealed he sent supportive messages to Epstein during his 2008 legal battles. The government asserts that during Mandelson's appointment, they were not aware of the depth of his relationship with Epstein. Conservatives are raising questions, demanding transparency over the vetting process and calling for the publication of all related documents. Criticism also comes from within Labour, questioning why Mandelson was appointed, given his known history with Epstein. Sir Ed Davey of the Liberal Democrats insists the Prime Minister must address Parliament to explain the rationale behind Mandelson's initial appointment. Despite Mandelson’s valuable contributions as ambassador, his past connections with Epstein have overshadowed his achievements. His sacking coincides awkwardly with an impending state visit by US President Donald Trump, where British diplomat James Roscoe will now assume duties as interim ambassador. Meanwhile, President Trump’s visit is confirmed to proceed without alterations. Key Takeaways Sir Keir Starmer has faced criticism for appointing and then sacking Peter Mandelson. Conservatives and some Labour MPs are pressing for full disclosure of vetting materials. The US President’s state visit to the UK remains unaffected by these developments. EU Commission halts payments to Israel over conduct in Gaza
I`d like to shout in Ursula von der Genocide`s face: "What took you so long, you hideous snake?" Better late than never but one has to ask himself how many Palestinians had to die how many children had to be killed by snipers how many medics and aid workers had to be assassinated how many journalists had to be murdered how many hospitals, schools, and other buildings had to be flattened how many Gazans had to starve how many Palestinians in the West Bank had to be brutalized and removed from their property ... before the European Commission finally woke up to realize ... that Israel was not really only defending itself but committing mass murder and land theft. that Israel is the reason for the remaining hostages not being freed - as it broke the ceasefire almost every day since its beginning on January 19 - as it violated the agreement by not withdrawing from the Philadelphi corridor - as it restarted the war on 18 March 2025 by launching surprise airstrikes on Gaza and all that happened in plain sight. -

USA Charlie Kirk Tragically Killed in Utah Event Shooting
Looking into history, it's easy to find how high profile violent events such as the assassination of Kirk have been used by authoritarian regimes to accelerate extremist agendas. Watch out for that happening again.- 2
