Drilling Protests

Featured Replies

 So whoever is updating the Samui Protest Movement needs improve their news sources, because the first well is already in and producing. On a recent sail to Pattaya on a course of 010 deg. about 60 n.m. off Koh Tao there is a finished jacket with helipad sticking out of the sea. Sail a further 8 n.m. North and there is a floating storage tanker transfering from a well to oil tankers. Go get 'em Greenies !

Here we go again! Disgusting oil. Er, hang on a minute, my bike runs on petrol and half the stuff I own has plastic components.....<_<

Crusty, What I think you saw was the Salamander site it's been there a while and the tanker should have been the Rubicon Vantage did you see the name. The other wells to be drill in that area will start soon. As for the New coastal wells they will also drill soon.

:( Ahhhh, thanks for that John 1, but it makes one wonder why the protesters did not protest then, when these two sites were spudded in ? Also LOTS of seismic exploration activity seen between Koh Tao and Sattahip. Methinks perhaps this is the reason for the strong Thai Baht when everything else has gone belly up !

yes the Western Patriot is doing a seismic job at the moment.
