That's the V Power 95 gasohol. Real 95 is in the 44's. Have a look at the Susco on the way to the airport as they are the only ones with 95 benzine. Supposedly the V Power 95 gasohol keeps your engine cleaner than normal gasohol 95 which runs around 34 0r 35 per litre.

When I bought my Mitsubishi Triton they recommended using V Power diesel as they said B5 will deteriorate certain components in the engine more quickly. I wonder if the same holds true for all ethanol based fuels. I have never tested it but I suspect you do get lower mileage from fuel with ethanol.

Here in LOS its rather opposit what you say. any car able to run E20 gets it pre sale taxes reduced with 10-20%, thus several car suppliers in LOS claim their vehciles can run E20, while same vehicle in other markets can not.

Ford and Volvo share a 2,0 4pot 145hp engine developed by Yamaha. Ford LOS claims E20 compability, while Volvo LOS says NO E20, E10 and petrol only.

Maybe they have modified the engines for cars sold here to take advantage of the tax reduced taxes.

Makes sense if one does it they are all going to do it to keep there cars competitively priced.

Who told you that about B5 and the Triton?

I have an email direct from Mitsubishi Thailand and they say B5 is perfectly acceptable in the Triton.

Their plastic and rubber parts in injection and sometimes in fuel tank is not made for aggressive ethanol. Then this stuff ends up in the engine, not made for it

run it half full, fill up with petrol, and you re down to 3% ethanol

My car is now 6 year old..it has 1300 cc toyota petrol engine which was a recently devolped engine at that time..

it has done 160,000 km i have run this car the first 2 years on 91 gasoline then i changed to 95 gasahol because it was a lot less expensive..i did not notice any power or milage change...about 18 months ago i felt the engine was not running good...i took it to a garage in phuket town[ a very good one] the mechanic looked at it and said rightt away..you are running this car on gasahol.. he stripped the carb down and showed me the damage that could be done..he cleaned all the carb and air filters...the car then run like a dream...you could actually see the sediment in the carb but a good cleaning with carb cleaner solved it....i am still runnjg the car now.. using both.. every other fill up and still getting good milage..i dont know what the long term effect will have on gasahole..my opinion is these modern engines are built to run on them

at least you r having fun at 6,5 km/l. My 2003 CRV 2,0 awd was 6-7km/l on highway trying to maintain 140-160kmh, and no fun as underpowered

well my Vigo 3,0D and Fortuner 3,0D, both auto and 4x4 manages same speed at 8-9 km/L, less expensive diesel, and Vigo loaded with bikes and stuff

speeding tickets? each trip 1500 to 4000km, used to get one every second time or so at 200 baht. I am not alone at this speed, usually 3-5% of the motorists keep 140-160 kmh

I think on a decent highway, in daylight / good visibility, in a vehicle with decent brakes etc that its not a reckless / high speed.

Of course not flying through populated areas but open road its sensible enough.
