Hello all.

I am looking for a cheap ticket for my sister in law to fly from bkk to london, UK

I have had a look at the internet and cant find any prices suitable (perhaps still in the christmas period) I was wondering if anyone knows of any special deals that are on at the moment.

She wishes to fly just after feb the 15th and return to Thailand 6 months later. Ps..she does have her visa

You could try a travel agent, or budget air lines. I have often found they have very competitive fares.

Qatar 38k...........if you really want to knock the price down fly via Hong kong, Flights from Hong Kong to UK are much cheaper.

Can sometimes get cheap flight from Kuala lumpur too.

Air Asia 26k from Kuala Lumpur to London Stansted.

Air India do some good deals, Bangkok to Delhi, Delhi to London, only drawback is her dates, return flight in August is right in the middle of the school holidays so prices are at a premium.

Good luck otherwise I would check each carrier site, the 6 month return may be an issue so you will be forced to deal with a travel agent.

You can also call the airlines and ask who their CONSOLIDATOR is, sometimes they will tell you, often they wont unless you say you are ABC travel calling from 123 Main Street

Air India 30790 baht (all In). Departure from BKK Feb 15th. Return from LHR Aug 15th. If interested, please verify at Air India's website.

Just managed to book 2 adults & 1 child BKK-LHR-BKK on EgyptAir for B76,080,that's just B25,360 per-person, IMO a very good price for low-season, but this was outward on Sat 18th June & returning Mon 25th July, 17 hours each way including approx 3 hours in Cairo. !

It was only available for these specific dates, neighbouring dates were significantly higher, but it can sometimes be worth checking EgyptAir's own website (where I found this) as Kayak & other search-engines were at least a couple of thousand higher, for the same dates.

Sadly Qatar seem to be going the way of Etihad and Emirates, having got their volume they're now asking far far more than before, and I've just used my Qatar-airmiles for a freebie (B10k in charges is 'free' ?!), so I guess that it's going to be via-Cairo, and to LHR-T3 not LGW, for the next three or four years !
