Ive been told all i need to do is change my name and get a new passport, and it shud work..... to the other guy, why is changing my name and getting a new passport illegal....?

It is not illegal to change your name and get a new passport, but gaining entry into Thailand would be as you are not wanted here. if you gain entry, you could be deported any time they find out.

I think you will find that immigration worldwide use software that tracks passport name changes. If I recall correctly it's developed by SITA. URL http://www.sita.aero/
