Off-Road Atv Led Lighting

Featured Replies

I thought I might give this a try. It beats driving around town looking for shops and end up having a wreck. I'm working on a ATV project, and need either 12vdc or 24vdc LED lighting. I think most LED lighting in this class is rated between 10-50 vdc. I'm specifically looking for a spot/flood light in the 10 watt range, and also turn indicators.

Any other motor-heads out there?

Welby

Your best option will probably be to buy standard car style beams, then replace the bulbs with LED units. There's lots of vendors online selling LED H11/H3 bulbs (typically used for fog/spot lights and high beams), but most normal beam bulbs (H4, HBx etc) are actually 2-bulbs-in-1 so will be harder to find an LED replacement for.

I'd suggest going for projectors H3/H11 for the normal beams (so you won't blind traffic when driving on/around roads) and some standard reflectors for high beams, if necessary.

EBAY would be the best place to find these, but here's a Thai vendor selling DIY projector housings if you want to buy local:

Make sure you check what bulb sizes the housings take, to be sure that an LED replacement for the standard halogen bulb is available.

And if you want faster supply than EBAY on the LED's, here's a couple of local Thai vendors I've used that will be able to supply H3/H11 LED replacements and things like LED turn signals and taillights:
