Visa Conditions For Australia

Featured Replies

Dear Forum,

A friend of mine is visiting Australia, and read that one of the visa conditions was that anyone with Pirate CDs/DVDs will be prosecuted. Is this a new condition? What does this regulation include?

If you have been given CDs/DVDs by a friend and don't know whether they are pirate or not?

If a friend has given you software which you have stored on your hard-drive?

If you buy a new laptop from Pantip and they have windows pre-installed?

Does anyone have any experience of Australian Customs with regards to this regulation?

Hope you are keeping well,

All the Best,

Bill Z

Where did they read that??

too many IF's in that.

If my Aunty had balls would she be my Uncle?

Are you talking about bringing them in or taking them out, Large or small quantities.

There is a difference between commercial importation and the odd one or two, everything is relative.

Members are reminded of the Forum Rules, in particular:

16) Not to post about gambling, betting, pornography, illegal drugs, fake goods/clothing etc and other activities that are officially illegal in Thailand.

Piracy is illegal, this is not a question about visas, but rather how to take illegal goods into Australia, so closed.
