I'm a bit confused here :o

If I understand correct you need an ftp client program, which will enable you to download some manuals from an ftp-server where they are hosted...

If so you can download some clients.

Cuteftp, one of the more popular programs, has 30 day trial:

If you don't need to access FTP servers often, don't bother with installing and setting up a dedicated client, just use Internet Explorer.

In the address bar just paste the address you were given, something like ftp://something.xxx/

You may have a window asking for username and password, those shoud have been given to you before.

Then you can copy any file from the server to your computer (ctrl+c in the IE window, ctrl+v in the windows explorer window where you want to store the file).

SmartFTP.. Free for non commercial use and my favorite of all the ones I have tried..

I can recommend this SmartFTP also- been using it for a lonnng time!

Full of features.. CHMOD etc, and very intuitive / easy to use.
