January 11, 201115 yr ... or as an alternative does, anybody know if they already exist somewhere on the net as videos? I'm especially interested in these funny ones: Thanks
January 11, 201115 yr I think they are gif images just right click and save maybe. giggel.gif hit-the-fan.gif etc edit Oh wait I see you mean as a video sorry Edited January 11, 201115 yr by RKASA
January 11, 201115 yr I don't know why they would put them up as vid, but maybe try a gif program which if opening the selected gif would provide the frames that make it an action. Then a program like Ifran (I have not used it in years) can take the frames and produce a flash vid which can be converted by yet other programs to MP4. I don't know if a gif has enough frames to make a good vid.

It does not need to produce a quality video, just something to see the expressions and movement (with of course no sound). Edited January 11, 201115 yr by Lopburi99
January 11, 201115 yr Author I suppose I could brute-force one with multiple screen scrapes and a lot of cropping, etc, to get some .jpg files to somehow string together into an .mp3 or similar file, but there has got to be an easier way. Edited January 11, 201115 yr by Lopburi99
January 11, 201115 yr Did you mean .mpg rather tham .mp3? The pictures have a .gif extension. No need to convert them for your friends to see them. After downloading them just put them in your posts etc unaltered.
January 12, 201115 yr Assume you mean mpg/mpeg as mp3 is an audio format. Or do you mean mp4? How to convert an animated GIF to MPEG You can use Windows Movie Maker for step one in the above instructions. If you are using Windows 7 then you need to download Windows Live Movie Maker
January 12, 201115 yr I just had a try at this and put this on YouTube (I'll delete it soon): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bdP4wOntMw I used a free screen capture prog. called CamStudio. Under the Region Menu, select Region and press record. I selected the area enclosing (most) of your icons and recorded for a few seconds. Saved as AVI and opened in Windows Live Movie Maker to upload to YouTube. There is also an upload to Facebook option and save as WMV. Or you can convert the AVI to MP4 via http://www.mediaconverter.org/ (online - upload to the site and then download the result) Edited January 12, 201115 yr by phaethon
January 12, 201115 yr Ah yes good idea screen capture the gif in action and it will make its own frames. My built in screen capture can crop to a local spot on the srceen and record it. I would guess many windows screen recorders could do the same.
