Get New Posts Only Shows The Last Post

Featured Replies

The little orange arrow next to the topic title is supposed to take you to the earliest unread post, but often it takes me to the last post even though there are previous posts that I haven't read.

This doesn't seem to happen all the time, but often enough to be annoying, particularly when there are posts I haven't read on a previous page.

(Using Firefox 4 beta 8.)

Also, sometimes when I go back to the forum topics page, the page is refreshed (ie showing post changes since I last viewed the page), but sometimes it shows the original page and I have to click refresh to see any changes.

I am not sure if they are related issues.

Firefox 4 beta versions is not yet fully supported by our forum software. I expect next version to be available in about a month.

Regarding which issue?

Chrome doesn't refresh when going back (via the back button) to the topic page either.

You are not supposed to use the back button on a forum. Use the internal menu structure instead, and all will work as intended.

The "the internal menu structure" is too slow.

If I have just posted a reply, or am in the middle of a page, I need to move to the top of the page to find the menu.

And ... sometimes it refreshes when I use the back button, and sometimes it doesn't. (not randomly, but for a period of time)

Unsurprisingly I'm having the same problem using IE7. :(
