Hi guys,

Do you have any suggestion for honeymoon packages?

I would like to spend around a week or two in some good destination.

Please advice me!

Cheers,

I guess that you haven’t had a reply as you didn’t give much detail. Will you fly or drive? What do you want to do ‘other than’?

How about…. the Sofitel Bungalows at Hau Hin…. JW Marriott Phuket. Koh Chang..but don’t book Dusit Princess as we found it a bit dead that end, stay where the life is. Grand Pacific Soverign Cha-am is nice.

Really the choices are endless………..

edit I think Sofitel call them Villas....

Depending on what you want your honeymoon to consist of would dictate where you went in Thailand. A peaceful tropical island where you just laze in a hammock by the sea ? An action packed one with diving, kite surfing and nightlife ? A mix of Thai Heritage and history with a mix of beaches, cities and mountains etc Thailand has lots to offer the honeymooners. You just have to decide what you want. :D

I was at a party there last week and was very impressed. Only 15-20 minutes from shopping and dining in Pattaya but a secluded resort, no noise, on the beach shuttles into town or order reasonable pick up. Nice restaurant on the premises.

Congratulations.

Personally, for 48,000 THB, I would rather have a marvelous party for the whole village where I live and

have everyone participating in the wedding ceremony in original Thai style....

Perhaps, even then, there would be some left over for a few other villages nearby.... B)

That gives me a new idea, I shall definitely do that for my son.... LOL :D

Go for a resort and possibly adventure package with diving etc - avoid the 'real' Thailand, just enjoy the weather and the calm peace a corded off beach and resort can give, away from normal package-tourists.

Thanks for your answers.

Actually we were thinking to go abroad, but not far. I prefer mountains but my wife like more beach, and as you can imagine the last word is not mine :-)

I found these tours http://www.exotissimo.com/holiday-tour-packages/honeymoon-tours-asia.html . We like the Honeymoon in Bali package.

Can anyone recommend it?

Thanks

Looks great! We love Bali...apart from Kuta.

If you want to save some money, just get a hotel in Ubud and then another on the beach yourselves. Pretty much every hotel offers all sorts of things to do. Walking the rice paddies, trips to the tourist attractions, etc. I'll try and look up the hotel we stayed at. The view from our balcony was stunning. It was in Ubud.

I'll be taking a honeymoon vacation next month. Seven of the 14 nights will be spent in Sinapore (3 nights at www.marinabaysands.com and another 4 nights on Sentosa). Both my girl and I being relatively young, it will be a nice mixture of relaxation and enjoyable activities. Prior to going to Singapore we'll be spending 4 nights at www.sarojin.com for a more traditional honeymoon destination.

I've never been to Bali before, so I cannot recommend it, but the pictures I've seen of there look incredible. Were we to go there, we'd definitely stay at one of those place that shoot out over the water.

Enjoy your honeymoon and congratulations!

The referenced website sarojin did not tell me much about their compelling facilities.... <_<

Are you seriously suggesting Pattaya for a Honeymoon destination..?

That's like someone from The Sandbanks going to Blackpool for their honeymoon.. not to mention the poor bloke having his nose rubbed in it just as he has got married...

Sunset village is pretty awesome. It is actually in Bang Saray. Not Pattaya. Beautiful beach, pricey dinner...but extremely scenic. We go there for sundowners on a regular basis. Rooms right on the beach. Tough to beat. I'm no fan of downtown Pattaya, but this is one I would highly recommend.

mkawish - I'm not sure I understand your comment. Do you mean you don't find that hotel to be nice? Did you view the Photo Gallery section of the website? Did you go to their "Imagineering" link and view how you can customize your stay there?

Eh, perhaps you did view those things but decided the place is shabby. To each their own.

Pls do not get me wrong.

The place is more than lovely on the grand scale.

I just had a tough time surfing thru its site and contents.

Am sort of short of attention span which is a major disadvantageous.... ;)

Am also very much like the Thai PM, Apisit, in numerous aspects in terms of forgetting things and misinterpreting things....

like if my own house is on fire.... I'll tell everyone on tv that everything is alright and there is nothing to fear.... but fear itself.... L O L :D

Ok, well I stand corrected.. but not to the point that I would recommend that area as a honeymoon destination, having a crown doesn't make you a king..

I have always thought of honeymoons to be a beach paradise, and where I'm not denying Bang Saray is beautiful, I'm sure one of the islands would do it better,

A honeymoon in Thailand reminds me of the old saying "Like taking coal to Newcastle"

BUT

There is sooooooooooooo many places to go depends on what you really want.

I could see how that would happen, as I've spent quite a bit of time on the website and still haven't navigated the entire thing. They offer an incredible amount of activities (snorkling, diving, an amazing spa, treks through the jungle, meals at a waterfall or on the beach, etc, etc, etc). I'm soooo looking forward to going there. While Singapore will be a lot of fun, I don't think it's going to compare to our time at Sarojin. But at 15k baht per night, I opted to keep our stay there limited to 4 nights. That we're arriving on Valentine's Day will be an added bonus that's sure to make our stay there even more memorable (if that's possible).

BTW...If you go to the left side of the website's main page you will see a link named "Presentation." If you click on that you can download a PowerPoint presentation about the hotel...probably the easiest way to get an overview of the hotel.
