Spice 'n Stuff

Most of you guys are seasoned travellers.

I know you cannot transport meat /plants etc in luggage.

Does this hold true with spices?

A US customs worker once told me that manufactured spices in manufactured containers were OK but that you should declare them and have them inspected....he was the guy who was searching my luggage at the time.

Surely you can see the humorous juxtaposition

"seasoned travellers" and "spices"??

It may not have been intentionally funny but some of us are easily amused - just as some of us are, apparently, easily upset.
