Foreign Crime Gang Activity Increasing In Pattaya

The sex tourism is disgusting and, unfortunately, robust as ever. This particular food chain is the hub for all the other money making mafia/corrupt police venues. If this faction of western tourism were removed, the walking street gogos along with everything they entail, would no longer exist. The Thais don't frequent these places.

There are thousands of Thai-oriented brothels for every Go-Go bar. Blaming the Thai sex industry on foreigners is absolutely absurd.

It probably should be pointed out that the Thais own the vast majority of brothels in Pattaya. And that Thais would go to the go go's in Pattaya except the Thai owners won't let them in. Instead they have to go to the Thai oriented clubs in Pattaya which Falang don't go to and there are 100's of them available.

In my little town, not Pattaya, there are no go go's but 20 Thai brothels that are frequented by only Thai men and three Thai discos with coyote dancers (Thai equivalent to go go girls but prettier and more expensive). Drugs are readily available and sold everywhere with the implied consent of the powers that be and those are not Russian or Falang.

To get back on topic, there are two Russian go go's for heavens sake and 100 owned primarily by Thais.

The Russian go go's are not well run and are clip joints and anyone with half a brain knows that.

The women in the photo above are Army wives and one Veterinarian. They are all farmers daughters who moved close to an Army base to be with husbands. I knew them well because I worked with their husbands. So farmers daughters who had the chance to meet falangs.

If you lived in Bangkok you know it is populated by farmer's daughters who work there doing manual labor and not necessarily P4P business. Again these ladies have the opportunity to meet falangs.

I live on the East coast of Thailand in an industrial town where all of the workers come from Issan. You guessed it farmer's daughters, not in the P4P business but with an exposure to falangs. The town empties out during holidays as almost no one is from here.

So my experience is based on Army Dependants and workers both in the service and industrial areas who are from Issan but now work in other areas.

To be honest my comment about the kissing came from a conversation I had a couple of days ago with a farmers daughter. She asked why I didn't hug or kiss her in public or walk with my arm around her. I said, because it is not polite.

She said, yes it is. I told her Thai people do not do that. She laughed and said the only reason they do not do that is because the farm boys stink. I don't drink, so no whiskey or beer on my breath ever.

You've just proved my point. The women you are talking about aren't working on the farm . They're doing other jobs so in that sense they are not really farmgirls are they. They might have originally come frrom the farm though. My point was that out in the provinces there are very few foreigners really for these women to meet and socialise with and the ones who are there are probably married already. My experience of life in the village was that it is very much a man's world ( like much of Thailand generally ) , they go to work in the fields, come home and drink with their mates. The men don't do hugs and kisses period, not in public anyway. Rural Thailand is very conservative in that respect. Would a " farmgirl " prefer to kiss a foreigner over a Thai man, possibly due to images from the media / films etc she might ( think Brad Pitt ) but has she actually got any experience to base this on then I would say no. I think the women you were with just made a throwaway comment not to be taken too seriously. Only one person anyway.

Interestingly enough my wife's niece who is twenty , just finished one year nurses training, a virgin, very good looking, only recently arrived in Bangkok from the village and no previous experience of foreigners other than me . She came out with us a few times to places where a lot of foreigners were and she has now decided that foreigners are better looking than Thais !! She'll break someone's heart for sure, although they better be good at Thai though as her English is absolutely zero !
