roc634
There is a Soi connecting Yaowarat Road and Chaloen Krung Road named Yaowarat Soi 8 or Chaloen Krung Soi 14, It's a fresh market selling many Chinese food materials. 13°44'32.63"N, 100°30'28.85"E
roc634
Just came back from Tops. There are several kinds of FIVE SPICE POWDER on the shelves. I think it's a kind of common condiment in Thailand. Tell the staff you need "ผงพะโล้".
hhfarang
roc634, The op is asking about Hua Hin as this is a Hua Hin/Cha-Am forum. I believe the answers you are giving are Bangkok locations.
cricketer
I've looked before for popular Chinese goods, like 5 spice, Chinese rice wine and Duck sauce but have never found any in Hua Hin. We buy a BBQ sauce from Tesco which is similar to Hoi Sin sauce. You could make your own, try this link http://chinesefood.about.com/cs/sauces/ht/fivespicepowder.htm
H2oDunc
You can get 5 spice powder in most Thai supermarkets where the sauces and mixes are. Tesco has it for sure. Just look in the BBQ sauce mix, green curry mix, red pork mix area etc.
