I wrote Bangkok Bank inquiring about this. Here is the letter they sent back... Dear Baba Naba, Thank you for contacting Bangkok Bank. In response to your email, please be informed that the process for receiving funds from the United States via Bangkok Bank New York Branch has been updated. Funds will now be received through the API Gateway, enabling customers to receive funds quickly and cost-effectively. This new channel, the Application Program Interface (API Gateway), is applicable for funds transfers of less than 1 million baht and is effective immediately. Deposited Money: You will not receive SMS Remittance Alerts for funds received through the API Gateway. It is recommended to subscribe to Email Credit Advice instead. In your passbook, the code “TPP” (PromptPay Transfer/Top Up eWallet) will be displayed instead of “FTT” (Foreign T/T). If you have applied for the Email Credit Advice service, the Credit Advice document will be sent automatically on the day the funds are received. If you have not applied for the Email Credit Advice service, you can bring your valid passport and passbook to the branch where you applied for the Direct Deposit service to fill out an application form. This will allow you to receive credit advice as proof of an International Transfer Receipt on the same day the funds are credited to your account. We acknowledge that the current circumstances may not align with your expectations, and we extend our deepest apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. Should you require any further assistance, please let us know.
