Which Bangkok Temples Can I Get Into W/ Armani Shorts And Leather Slippers?

I didn't bring any pants to Thailand because I figured it'd be too hot to wear em. :D

Update:

The temples I wanna visit are:

Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha)

Wat Phra Kaeo (Emerald Buddla) - guess not?

Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)

Wat Saket (Golden Mount)

Which ones will I be ok to visit in the aforementioned Armani cargo shorts (fairly long), leather slippers and t-shirt?

Any other good ones?

Pants are cheap to buy. They needn't be Armani.

The basic answer is you may go TO almost all temples dressed in shorts (Wat Phra Keaw and a few others are exceptions) but you should not enter the buildings dressed inappropriately.

Unless you are here due to being a stove-away on a flight and lifting social security back home - explaining your apparent lack of any founds - you should be able to pick up a pair of pants for 200 baht and be able to gain entrance to the templates...

The thing to do is : Show some respect for the people of the country where you are a guest !!!

But that's just me

Only Golden Mount ---- and still may not be allowed to enter.

You are wanting to go to the most important/well-known temples in BKK -- dress appropriately.

Contrary to what has been said ... they are not pants unless they are pants. Ladies wearing capris (come down to the calf) are not allowed in Wat Phra Keaw

A few years ago I visited Wat Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai.

As I was wearing shorts for comfort, I carried a Pakama,

the long wrap round length of cloth that some men wear.

That was perfectly acceptable.

My intent was to state 'full length" :)

I fully agree. Show respect. Armani my ass. Can buy them at any Thai market.

Haven't tried them myself, but isn't there a type of pants that can be converted between full-length and cargo-style shorts by velcro/zip fitting at about the knee? Stow the leggings in the cargo pockets in short mode. Sure I've seen something like around town (Tokyu?).

Alternatively a pair of lightweight tracksuit bottoms (not too gaudy) should do the trick and stow away in a bag or even pocket easily enough.
