Car Thieves Of Surin

Recommended Posts

Posted

After the free beer guzzling session last evening at the FC, one very concientious reveller decided to leave his car outside the bar and walk back to the hotel. This morning it was discovered that the vehicle had been stolen!

An extensive area search eventually located the vehicle in the car park of the afformentioned hotel. Apparently, the thief had stolen the vehicle, been for a joyride and returned it to the hotel car park. I understand that it has been decided not to inform the MiB as there was no damage to the vehicle.

I am not prepared to name the reveller in question as it may upset Ken.

Don't think some of them have yet :D

Also, we've just heard that shortly before Mike fell over, he could not speak. We think that him and Ken must be applying for Surin nationality, and just practising for the exam :D

I have heard of the thoughtful car thieves of Surin . I have also heard that they will even sit next to you , buy you beer and force you to drink it . Then they strike !

Ken you still got the car? If you have, park it in the lounge in case any of those Surin guys followed us back here.

:D:D Funny you should say that because as I was unloading my truck at the Salon (home) there looked to be a couple of "dodgey" types driving slowly by and looking. I've moved the truck back to the brother-in-laws house now and all locked up and secure. I hope. :o

I have to admit that my trip back to the hotel involved a totally chance meeting with the pavement.

I also have to admit that at one point I returned to the wrong hotel and totally blew away the front desk staff as I insisted I wanted my key.

However, hangover, bruised shoulder and bruised ego did not prevent from enabling the FC web cam; a feat that had previously defeated many.

Yes! Our "hero" Mike steps in to save the day again. The web cam "seems" to be working, even if Mikey doesn't know why.

Was one of them tall and slim and the other short and balding. I think I saw a picture on Surins most wanted, depicting the taller man resting his right arm on the top of the shorter mans head. They are not to be approached under any circumstances. Thier M.O. is to give you free drinks then strike.

I do know why.

[Geek Alert]I had to enable port forwarding on port 80 in the software router that FC uses. I also had to set up the FC's fixed IP address in the DynDNS database. And, I had to make sure the Windows firewall was not blocking port 80.[/Geek Alert]

But, I didn't want to make any claims of success until I could get home and test it from here. For strange technical reasons it was not possible to do the test from the FC.
