Its a shame they do not have a branch in Chiang Mai as the prices seem to be a lot cheaper than Ringping and other outlets. I like Ambrosia tinned rice pudding and steak/kidney pudding. My friend did bring me a couple of packs of Atora suet from the UK recently

As far as I know all beef cattle come with two lumps of beef suet, one around each kidney. They did when I was a butcher's boy 40+ years ago anyway and I dont suppose it has changed much since then (GE permitting).

Surely any local beef butcher in a Thai market would be able to separate the suet from the kidney and sell it to you for a reasonable price? I would expect this to be much cheaper than buying imported packet suet, and probably nicer.
