I have heard that in the Vietnam War era, Thai children who were half American were discriminated against. But when I watch tv or look at models, it seems like half-farang (ลูกครึ่ง) Thai children are considered the most beautiful. Does anyone know of any sources that discuss either issue and the change that occurred?

Mixed race children had had been truly discriminated for a period of time after the war.

However a decade or so after the war, when these children grew up and showed the world that many have legitimate talents of their own together with the comparable intelligence....

They have since not only been assimilated into becoming great contributors to Thai society but also becoming pioneers in many new areas as well.... particularly in the world of entertainment which seems to engulf majority of Thai society nowadays....
