Samae Beach, Koh Larn

Featured Replies

Hi

We're considering taking a trip to a beach on Koh Larn, maybe Samae as this looks to be the nicest from what I've seen.

What I'd like to know:

1, is there a better option on Koh Larn than Samae - I'm talking sea and sand quality, not huge crowds, etc

2, Is there any point in making the trip at all when Jomtien would surfice. How do the two compare?

Thanks for any info

From what I've seen Samae is best on Koh Larn. Involves getting a taxi (truck) to the other side. Best to walk past the initial taxi queue and grab one just a bit up the road.

It's WAY nicer than Jomtien. Actually rivals Ko Samet. (Another good optioin for a day (or two day) trip.)

Of course: Jomtien is a sensible place to say: many good value hotels there. Then do a day trip to Samae Beach.

Ok, thanks

Do you have any idea whether it's best to take the boat to Twaen or Nadan?

Also, any idea about accommodation there?
