Health Food Store

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where a good health food store is with organic food? Preferable next to a skytrain stop?

Hi are you looking for mainly produce or grains also?

I think Villa Markets have some organic produce and maybe Lemon Farm

Villa on Suk 33 ish? and you can google Lemon Farm as there are many locations too.

Also there is an online healthfood store in Thailand that will EMS ..they have a nice selection of products I have not seen elsewhere.

Lemon Farm is good for this sort of stuff.

I've been to Lemon Farm, and am familiar with their products... But my comment below is not directed at them...

Be aware, there have been a fair number of news reports, particularly regarding Thai grown produce, that products labeled and sold as "organic" or "natural" are far from it... There have been newspaper articles quoting "organic" farmers who say they clean things up when some inspection comes around but the rest of the time, it's pour on the pesticides...

Maybe those items, at a higher price, are better than the non organic things sold in the stores, including places like Villa... But for Thai grown produce, I'd be highly suspect that things are in reality what they're labeled to be.

Heck, you only have to look at the parallel issue of the EU threatening to ban the import of various Thai produce items because they're so filled with pesticides that are illegal for use in other countries.

It would be good if anyone authoritatively could point to reliable, proven Thai source for organic foods.... Here, that label alone just doesn't seem to mean much.
