I am giving my girlfriend a gold necklace.

Since I purchased it in Chinatown, naturally the seller was Chinese. The only gift boxes that they had were red.

Now I know that red is the ideal gift wrap color for a person of Chinese ancestry, and gold is the ideal gift wrap for a Thai person, but I haven't a clue as to where to find a gold colored gift box.

My gf is pretty open-minded and rather independent, and doesn't seem to particularly care for the "old customs," so I'm wondering...

Red gift box, or no gift box?

no reason why u cant use the red gift box for the gold

Thais or Thai of Chinese descent will not have any issue with it

no need to find gold coloured box
