Bars In Pattaya

Featured Replies

IMy hubby and I are going into Pattaya today any suggestions for good bars, doesn't have to be restaurants?

Thanks in advance

Give the Hopf Brew House ago. Will worth it. Beach Road and 13/1. Live music and it is fantastic.

what is a "good bar" in your books?

...and before we all get too excited, the forum rules apply also in this thread...B)

You've only got about 3000+ to choose from, have a good evening!!!!

Yes, this place is fun away from the regular kind of bars around town. Band are good especially when the Italian?? drummer/singer is performing.

I see someone has taste.:thumbsup::D

My Friend You has a nice ambience.

Stop by soi 6,it's an experience you'll never forget.

Angelwitch gogo on Walking Street has a risque, but tastefully done show for broad-minded couples; no sex, only female nudity. Drinks are hella-expensive though so don't stay long. The shows last 30 minutes & start at 10pm.

Pattaya Beer Garden is a nice couple friendly place. It's located just before Walking Street, on the ocean front. It's a bit hard to find, just go here & walk past the bars to the end.

They have very nice English & Thai food with an all English menu, although the Thai food is a little pricey compared to street carts. Nice atmosphere too. Here's their website with menu:

Another favourite of mine is Sailor Bar on Soi 8 here:

The drinks are very cheap & varied. They also have a so-so restaurant which is good value with English, German & (not so good) Thai food.:bah:

Had a trip to Pattaya a couple of months ago and visited both the places mentioned above.

Bit diisapointed with the beer garden, great place however the food was poor in my opinion, i had beef, mash and vegtables, the mash was instant mash and the veg was frozen veg, poor for a nice place like that and the prices they charge, however would give it another try as it's a really nice place.

The Sailor bar well what can you say about the drinks prices there? cocktails 60 baht JD n coke 55, wish all the bars would charge that, i would be a happy man.

Just bring your ear-plugs...the band employs someone who thinks he can sing and he caterwauls at ear-splitting levels :annoyed:

I've never tried the falang food at PBG, but I've heard good things about it. Their Pad Thai is HUGE & well worth 100B, but other Thai dishes are poor value for the portion, although good quality. The ambience is great; ocean front with LCD screens playing 80s rock. Strangely it gets too hot at times. The owner has been trying to turn it into a FL bar, with mixed success. A nice place to pop into for a few cheap drinks / quick feed before entering the tourist trap that is WS.<_<

As for Sailor Bar, you forgot the 20B Mekong & Coke's.

Cheap beers, smirnoffs, spirits, liquers, cocktails & a couple of femboy sisters if you're into that.:ermm:

The restaurant is cheap & has mixed reviews. I ordered cordon bleu & chips there last time; I got 7 chips.

The mamasan is always 'mau salop salai' & you have to see a flange of girls trying to steer her ample frame to safety to believe it. Sad story, but she ran over a child in her car a few years ago & now drinks herself silly ever night.:(

And a price to match

You and hubby can surely both enjoy Lick Bar on Soi 6.

No restaurant per se in there, but the Queen Vic is quite near and Tropical Bert's around the corner.
