Teacher Testing, Licensing... Oh, And Degrees..

Featured Replies

It seems according to a krusapa member, they're going to change the culture testing soon.. you know.. those imposible tests the TCT is making us do?

Less than 1% of the Thai teachers are passing also.

So they're going to make changes.

I got the heads up on the application procedure too, for the teachers license. Once its all in order, tests and all, you can expect to wait 3 to 6 months to recieve it.

This is because they contact your university and verify your degree.

Properly.

Should be interesting.

It turns out you can still avoid all the hassle just with 24 credits in Education. This was the case years ago, and it still is.

All they want is teachers who are really teachers. Or who are striving to be.

Thanks for the info. Did your contact reveal what changes are going to be made regarding the TCT Professional Knowledge Tests?

Interesting. I received my 5 year license last month. They accepted sealed transcripts from my Uni.

Not sure where that 1% figure comes from? Didn't the TCT publish the results of the last Professional Knowledge tests online? I thought that figure was around 35%?

I may be wrong though.

:(

It was the Thai teachers they were referring to, my OP states that. 5 out of 800 were figures mentioned

They were all failing.

A different format they said, for foreign and Thai.
