How about we move this to the Motor Forum? :)

The one that Toyota fit is made by Garmin. You can change the language by one press of a button or they will set it up for you. It's pricey mid 20,000bt fitted. It is very good though only one small problem it is a woman's voice that will give you direction's and she bloody American. So you have to go down the rout not the route. Dont know where you are but you can phone Toyota's head office, and they will organise it for you. There No: is 023861000. It's that or a cheaper version Garmin that wont go through the screen on the Hi Fi set up in the car. Has a smaller screen that just stick's on the dash. Powered by the ciggy lighter. You will have to take it out every time you stop though or it will be a gonner via the side window. Not sure but I think it's about 12.000bt can get them at any good Car/Hi/Fi shop. Hope this help's.

Hrmmm... Does it have a mini USB port anywhere?

If so, you can change the voice to practically anything you want with a small internet download ;) (although I don't recommend the Star Trek or Darth Vader ones - the get annoying fast, heh). You could also update maps, change the car icon on screen, wallpapers, update POI's, and make the unit biligual too (i.e. Thai and English labels simultaneously) - lots of hacks and add-ons if you can get to the unit's flash memory using USB like a standalone Garmin..

Also, just a price update - standalone Garmin's with free lifetime data updates can be had for as little as 4,500 THB or 6,000 THB for the widescreen models with Junction View/Lane Assist. Best ones are the Taiwanese imports that have been tricked up ;)

The set up I have on my Sprotivo 11 is a Garmin GVH53Thai route map. If you phone Toyota they can tell what your option's are. If all is lost go with MRO sugestion's. Cheap get out.

macho send a pm to pattaya pip he know all about this as he has the same set up in his sportivo111 he might answer on here if he's reading this

This is a repeat of a ongoing Topic in the GPS Forum. Macho123 has his answers and should have a new TSM V11 English language map installed by now. Unless he owns more than one Toyota Fortuner.
