I Go Gps Units In Thailand

Featured Replies

I have had no luck so far to find a suitable Garmin GPS in Pattaya for my Vios. They can be ordered from Bangkok by some local shops. I have not used a GPS before, so I am a bit weary buying something by mail order.

There is a shop in the Royal Garden complex on Beach Road, selling I GO my way GPS units. The guy running the shop seems very helpful, but I cannot tell, if the the units he is selling are any good. Any advise would be appreciated.

Use this link to: Eagle GPS. They are a Garmin dealer located in Chiang Mai and will EMS mail you any Garmin GPS unit available in Thailand. I have used them them for a couple of my GPS units. Eagle GPS is also a ThaiVisa Forum sponsor.

There is a shop on the ground floor of IT City (TukCom), Pattaya that has some Garmin GPS units in stock, also sometimes can find them on the 5th floor.

Good selection at Power Buy and Carrefour. Looking at buying a Garmin 1250 for 5900b at both places. You can order at a Power Buy store for pickup in a couple of weeks off of their website if not in stock.

what would you class as suitable, power buy, tesco carrefore all have garmin units, i had to i go and basically the map was good but the unit rubbish, ok my fault but the guy warned if you leave the charger plugged in and start the engine the unit will fail and they did 2 times. i had the i go 8, now i have garmin 205w, would not be without it, bluetooth would be handy as the better models have. one problem for me was garmin units are way way more expensive here than UK. got my 205w in tesco UK £85
