September 12, 200520 yr Hi everybody. I have a question about moving to Thailand in November, initially on a 60-day tourist visa. I will be flying direct from Korea and taking a TEFL course with the intention of getting a job in Bkk later. I will be flying to Thailand on a single ticket and would prefer not to buy an onward ticket to England (I'm a British citizen). I will be flying Thai airways. I realise that the airline that could possibly stop me from travelling due to my lack of an onward ticket. Would it be enough for them if I had proof that I am booked on a flight, that I had not yet paid for, if I could show them sufficient cash to buy the ticket once I arrive in Thailand? Or alternatively, would they accept a train ticket to Malaysia, or some other country as proof of onward travel? I am hoping that they would accept it as they would maybe think that once I am out of the country, I am no longer their problem. Are any of these reasonable assumptions? Am I just worrying over nothing, or are my fears justified? I would appreciate any feedback anybody has on this matter, especially if anyone has ever had a similar experience. Thanks.
September 12, 200520 yr With a 60 day Tourist visa you do not need proof of onward travel. Not relevant to you, but.. FYI if getting a 30 day on entry stamp a train ticket is NOT enough, it has to be an airline flight
