Unable To Receive Text From Uk

Featured Replies

Hi there

I have a Nokia 3 phone and I'm using a DTAC sim card. All seemed to be working fine, until I realised that I'm not receiving replies to any of my texts sent to friends in the UK! Text within Thailand are fine and I've asked friends in the UK to both reply to my texts and create new ones, but it makes no difference. Have also reset the phone to factory settings and re-inserted the sim card, but no joy!

Anybody have any idea what might be causing this and how I can fix it??

Thanks

:jap:

Tell them to try texting by using +66

Then by using 0066

as the codes

I think that 1 works & the other don't

Thanks for the idea, but still no joy!

This kind of issue, especially with, but not limited to, DTAC, has come up here a few times. It seems like one problem could be that DTAC and the UK service provider(s) your friends use do not have an SMS agreement. You should find out which providers they are using and then go talk to DTAC. And they, in the U.K. could do the same. I assume they have the ability to send international SMSes as part of their calling plans?

Can you send/receive SMSes to/from others in different countries?
