He may even take to dousing him with petrol and setting the house on fire,

His friend even had to leap from the blazing building to avoid being roasted.

surely if he is doused with petrol he would be BBQ'd anyway?

The report says he MAY even take to dousing. Nothing in the report that says he DID.

One guy probably screwed the other guys gf short time and he found out about it, got angry and burt the place down. Pathetic how these mature aged men act when they are in Pattaya. Must be the water...

Check...a Dane and a Swede but no Finnish friends...I'm safe

Actually the name "John Paul Heanrikm Erris" of the guy who started the fire is not finnish but rather a brittish. So it simply seems that the finns needed to run away from the building set fire by a brit, not a finn...

Doesn't sound all that British to me. Can you tell someone's nationality just by their name? I work with someone whose surname is Beauchamp but he isn't French. In the report it said they were both Finns.

British, Finnish, Swede, French....do they actually know the difference :whistling:

Just some farang drinking, fighting and burning down places...big deal...ordinary day...

Actually I am not suprised that there is some trouble btw Finns and British, both know how to drink hard

and fight when someone's face does not please... :jap:

also really lucky that there was a cable car operating there, i didn't know there was a cable car service available in pattaya :)

Then there will be a CRACKDOWN on soi dogs sleeping on the tracks. The operator of any cable car in Pattaya would get beaten up and harassed daily by the baht bus mafia anyway. Remember the bus experiment?

Over the top, you couldn't make this stuff up. Some times I complain about the Thais being jaded, but on the other hand... :cheesy:

If this had been a tuk-tuk driver burning 100 Finnish children alive with a flamethrower the police would have called it a coincidence that they all immolated at the same time and been stumped for leads. It might read something like this:

Pattaya Dailee Nooze:

Hundreds farang baby die yesterday, 5th April 2011 by unknown causes resulting from spontaneous eruption of large fire coming out of a place nearby to the location of children, Police Chief Wackyporn Stumbledong said yesterday.

"We have determined that all the children caught fire and died as of result of the burning," he added.

Police are investigating nearby areas to determine the source of the spontaneous flame that consumed the children but do not harm any property or other persons.

Witnesses say they did not notice the burning until it was too late to save the children.

The parents of the children have been imprisoned until they can pay for the tuk-tuk ride to the police station valued at 6 million baht.

Gee, they burn down a shop house in Pattaya and it hits the headlines but when a whole block of townhouses worth tens of millions of baht, mysteriously burns down in Bangkok right next to the BTS station at Phrakhanong, no one gives a hoot. A few days later, the same area gets bulldozed in apparent preparation for another huge condominium development. So much for investigative reporting and followup! Amazing Thailand!
