More than 100 people clash over Facebook comments in Bali

DENPASAR, INDONESIA (BNO NEWS) -- More than 100 Balinese villagers clashed on Saturday night over comments made on the social networking site Facebook, the Jakarta Globe reported.

The fighting began around 10 p.m. on Saturday night after villagers of Buana Anyar made offending comments against villagers of Kebon Kori on Facebook. 

Four buildings, a car and some motorcycles were destroyed as villagers from Kebon Kori attacked Buana Anyar villagers with sharp weapons, blocks of wood and other items. 



Police didn't give any further details. No injuries were reported. â€¨â€¨

Dozens of armed police officers were deployed on Sunday to prevent any further clashes.
