I found a Benq pc in pantip plaza, seems to be good, what do you think of this brandname ? Good service for garanty and good screen too ?

I own 2 Benq LCD projectors and have been happy with them. Sorry, but I have no opinion on the computers since I have not owned one.

Is it a notebook or a desktop? Are the specs good? Is there a Benq service center in Pantip? Is the warrantee any good? International (if you plan on moving around with it)?

This is a desktop, the specificities look good and i don't know about the service

BenQ is a big name, BUT not as popular as other brands like HP etc

That does not mean its bad just not popular, you would usually get more for your money with such a brand.

Being a desktop all the parts inside are not actually BenQ but a variety of brands, so i think you will be OK.

Check with them where they have service and conditions for service.

HP is one of the biggest sellers and yet i have owned 3 and all 3 were biggest crap

So not to confuse you, if the specs are good and price is to match-grab one!

Benq took over a previous international brand that was well known.

But I can't remember who they were now?

BenQ was spinoff from Acer some 3-4 years ago. Originally monitors (very good ones) but now full range. Should be on par with Acer, Asus et al.

I bought a Benq laptop a few years back when I went to Hong Kong. I sold it to my friend about a year or so ago. No problems at all. I'd recommend Benq.

I'd give it a shot, i have an acer that my thai friends swore are the worse things around.

Turns out, this is the best laptop i have ever owned.
